Diablo 2 resurrected items is experiencing some difficulties upon launch

There are no surprises in the fact that Diablo 2: Resurrected is encountering technical difficulties now that the game's release date has arrived.

Some players have reported being booted from the RPG game and finding that their new characters do not appear in the menu when they log back in due to technical difficulties.

Bug/Error Megathread on subreddit features a myriad of complaints about not being able to log into Diablo 2: Resurrected, but the most common is a problem with the game's selection screen not showing characters created in earlier sessions.

Although some characters appear to have been lost, it appears that they have not been lost in all cases.. It's true that a few Redditors have stated that they've been able to log back in and find their characters again, but it's also true that many others have found that they've lost some experience levels in the process.

In a statement, Blizzard announced that it is working to fix the problem. Blizzard claims it is "currently investigating issues that prevent some players from viewing existing characters or from creating new characters" in a tweet issued to its official customer service account.

It appears that characters are not being destroyed or deleted, despite initial indications to the contrary, in spite of these launch problems. And Blizzard is expected to be able to fix these problems in the near future.

Earlier this year, the state of California launched a discrimination and harassment case against Activision Blizzard, which has subsequently been expanded to include the game company's quality assurance and customer support contractors. It has since been revealed that Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has described the company's original response as "tone deaf," and the company's president J Allen Brack has quit.

The ABK Workers Alliance, which represents workers at Blizzard, has asked that the company reform its business policies. In the meantime, you can check back here for updates on the case. One of Activision Blizzard's top executives has reportedly been subpoenaed by the US federal government as part of an inquiry into the company's reaction to sexual misconduct and discrimination allegations submitted by its employees. An additional complaint was filed in September by a workers' union against the corporation for "worker harassment and union busting."
