Step 1: Network Security Test

Process 1: Central Server Option

The very first step you need to perform is Install QuickBooks Database Server Manager on your server computer. This will also serve as a storage location for your company files.

Install QuickBooks Enterprise solutions on all your workstation, with one system storing the company file and others accessing it on the network.

Process 3: Remote Desktop Services

You can install QuickBooks desktop enterprise on a central server, permitting access to the application and associated company file only through the Remote Desktop Service. The point should be noted here that the workstations cannot install QuickBooks using this method.

Step 2: Installing QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise

The steps are:

  • Make and exit from all the background applications and processes.
  • After that, you need to download QuickBooks Enterprise file directly from Intuit.
  • Now on the "Choose Installation Type" window, you can opt for the feasible installation type (Express, Custom, or Network).

Installation Type 1: Express Install

Remote Desktop server: Turn on the multi-user hosting on the server and not the system.

Central server:  Turn on multi-user hosting on the server and disable it on the computer.

  • Start with opening QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise on the server.
  • After that, hit a click on File, and move to Utilities.
  • Once done with that, hit a click on Stop Hosting Multi-Access and tap on Host Multi-Access.
