Diablo 2 resurrected items is nearly identical

During Diablo 2's intro, the Dark Wanderer pays Marius a visit and speaks with him. The prison's doors open by themselves, as if a supernatural power had driven the hinges to rotate. Dark Wanderer's moment of truth, one that establishes the power and magic of the Dark Wan

It wasn't always this way, however; The Dark Wanderer was welcomed into Diablo 2 by a warden figure in the game's pre-release marketing materials. The warden was supposed to be present to open the door, however he was omitted from the final game. It had a significant impact on the scene's overall tone. Shipped versions of the game do not appear to include an invitation for the Dark Wanderer.

To bring the warden back into the game, Blizzard Entertainment could have used the recently announced remaster of Diablo 2, Diablo 2 Resurrected. Blizzard's concept for Resurrected is in direct contradiction to this, regardless of the original goal or what makes more sense in the context of the setting.

Blizzard executives Rod Fergusson, executive producer of the Diablo franchise, and Rob Gallerani, lead designer at Blizzard's support company, Vicarious Visions, spoke with us ahead of BlizzConline about their work on the game. With Diablo 2 Resurrected, the duo knew exactly what they were aiming for after working on the industry's "worst-kept secret": it would be the Diablo 2 you know and love, faults and all.

Diablo 2 Resurrected's concept was crystal obvious in a 30-minute talk with the developers. Simply because it was needed, it's what the game's participants can recall. Blizzard judged it unsuitable to implement a huge number of deviations, including critical aspects of the game's quality of life.

Gallerani noted that "the majority of gamers use the map while playing the game." People who have never played Diablo 2 but are used to playing more recent games, such as Call of Duty or Call of Duty: Black Ops, asked us during the play test for something like, "I just received a quest." How did I become lost without the help of the map's arrow pointing in the right direction?

Gallerani went on to say, "We looked into implementing something like that and you're like, Well, does it break anything?" It was something we looked into," Gallerani said of the possibility of implementing. It does not in any way, shape, or form give my character an advantage over others. Also, it had a significant impact on the game's overall mood.

Diablo 2's 20th anniversary edition had a new minimap and icons to help you get around, but they didn't feel real to the original version of the game. If a feature didn't feel real to Blizzard, it would be deleted, according to the company's ideology.
