Different quilting patterns merge on cropped blousons, long parkas and shirt jackets. A white paint - splattered two - piece look in black corduroy, galvanized sole Converse (another double collaboration) and a series of matte surfaced down jackets - not all in black for a change - featuring Fujiwara's signature graphics (lightning bolts over mountain tops) were further highlights.

The second is Moncler Genius, and the third is Moncler Grenoble, which is more of our sports and ski collection. These fun pieces are highly desirable but also a smidgen surprising because Veronica Leoni always seems as staunchly serious and cerebral as her pedigree at Philo - era Celine and Sander - era Jil suggests.

There is no reason to fight the change: change must be Moncler Jackets embraced and welcomed. In the French alps, model Ophelie Guillermand posted on top of a snow - covered mountain while skiing in a beaming red Moncler jacket.

We also enjoyed having someone at the same level embark on this traineeship at the same time. With every 'Genius' collection Moncler reinvents itself, reinterpreting their classic aesthetic to create everything from covetable streetwear collections to dog couture.

Looking at these pieces before, it had been tempting to extrapolate from them a shift from the urban - technicality of early Alyx to a couture - ish inspiration seeded by his move from Milan to Paris last year in order to take on the Givenchy gig - but Williams reckoned this was not in his mental foreground while shaping this collection. It is also worth recording that of the 11 Moncler Mondo Genius launch films this season, Williams's was easily among the most entertaining. The film stars "a friend of mine called Teezo Touchdown from Texas and he's going to do a performance for everybody," offered Williams as an advance trail. Scary CGI arms (admittedly related to to the song title) apart, that film most definitely made Touchdown some new fans.
