Wearing Glasses To Improve Vision And Avoid Eye Fatigue

Wearing prescription glasses is not only to improve vision, but also to read and work at an appropriate distance, ensuring a normal coordination between the adjustment and convergence functions of the eyes, and avoiding eye fatigue.

After determining the approximate degree, the optometrist will determine the prescription for glasses for children based on the results of computer optometry and wear glasses of different degrees. Regarding the glasses themselves, I have some small experiences to share with you here:

  1. The size of the frame should allow children's glasses to have sufficient visibility. Due to the wide range of children's activities, it is recommended not to choose frames that may produce shadows and blind spots. If the frame is too small, the field of view will decrease; The frame is too large, which can make it unstable to wear and increase its weight. So children's eyeglass frames should be of moderate size.

  1. For the glasses legs and nose pads, parents should pay special attention to the glasses legs. The glasses' legs should not generate uncomfortable pressure, and the glasses should be kept in the correct position. There are significant differences between children's heads and adults, especially the height of the crossbar. Most children have a lower crossbar, so it is best to choose eyewear with a high or adjustable crossbar for children. Otherwise, if the frame and nose support are low, the glasses may easily stick to the eyeball, or even touch the eyelashes, causing discomfort to the eyes.

  1. Pay attention to selecting glasses frames that match the distance between the child's pupils. The optical center of the glasses should match the center of the wearer's pupils in order for the eyes to be comfortable, and the glasses frame is the same!
