Every September brings the oh-so-beautiful sights of schoolchildren in clean backpacks, Valentino Pumps bushels of apples, and turning leaves. Another regular feature of September is the new Target designer collab. You may have thought that bubblegum pink was going to be the only color trend that mattered this year, but nope. Kelly green has proven itself to be the one everyone wants.

Of course though, there's people like me who want just about everything but fine, I'll settle for window shopping from my iPhone. With this year's theme, you can do pretty much anything, because American fashion doesn't or shouldn't have rules. Buying Valentino Sandals VS meant that you no longer had to shop at JCPenney or Kmart. Scott Fitzgerald were known for their three-piece suits and low-waist dresses, and many years later, Joan Didion starred in a Celine campaign.

Regular highlight destinations in the A.W.A.K.E customer's seasonal shop revisited here included shirred asymmetric shirting, backless tailoring, and side-split trousers. Accessories-wise she evolved the brand's deep dive into the gloopy-looking oversized-weave or folded leather bags that have proven so influential and finally showed her volumized sneaker sole with the transparent upper she'd long planned to pair it with.

Without cloaking oneself in stars and stripes, the abovementioned ensembles successfully made reference to the U S of A. But American fashion is about more than blue jeans, Marilyn Monroe, and gowns that telegraph your political beliefs. They look great paired with towering sandals or pumps, but they can just as easily be paired with any Valentino Shoes of 2021's sneaker trends for a casual yet elevated look. In 2021, however, it's fashion's biggest night: the Met Gala.

Fashion is so much more than just apparel. The common thread A mindset for supporting amazing design talent and only investing in pieces I plan on wearing for years to come. Ultimately, designers are going to be winning if they show how a skirt or any item of clothing can be worn by anyone, instead of just one specific type of person, thereby changing the narrow definitions of gender we've seen on the runway. Everyone had big ambitions about producing less, using what exists, and designing clothes to last: Francesco Risso was upcycling old pieces into new ones; Gabriela Hearst and Stella McCartney used up their leftover fabrics; Balenciaga's Demna Gvasalia sharply increased his use of organic cotton and recycled synthetics; Kenneth Ize and Colville partnered with artisan weavers in Nigeria and Mexico; and Collina Strada launched a silk made from rose petals.
